Grey Matter Academics is a Corporate Academic Institution promoted by two Senior Finance Professionals to provide world class test preparatory facilities for those who are looking to qualify themselves for certifications like the CPA, CIA, CMA & CFA from the USA besides other courses from India and the UK. The spacious and air-conditioned classrooms with all modern teaching equipments have been commissioned at Chennai. Grey Matter Academics will soon be establishing branches in other major cities across India and in the Middle East.
Grey Matter Academics has strategic arrangements with renowned Test Preparatory Providers specializing in the CPA, CIA, CMA & CFA segment. The institute is an Authorised Learning Centre for ACCA and CIMA and will be soon entering into arrangements with major Test Preparatory Providers for various international courses.
As a part of providing professional finance related education, we have a couple of innovative integrated programs like FINTEGRATED and FINACCA for the benefit of XII standard commerce students after their Board exams. These are unique and customized programs specifically designed to address the needs of school students wanting to enter the professional world of Accounting and Finance. The major highlight of these programs is providing the students with a single window solution for training them for their B.Com along with other internally acclaimed finance certifications like the Indian CA, ACCA, CPA, & CIA. Considering the wide gap between School and Professional Certifications indicated above, the process of hand holding the students will have to be structured and scientific in approach to enable them face the exams with confidence and come out successful. The specific needs of the students have been kept in mind while designing these integrated programs which not only addresses the key issues but also takes into consideration the all round development of the students to enable them fit seamlessly in the corporate world (even internationally) and be successful thereby creating an indelible mark for themselves.

Ashok Rajaram (Ashok) is a Chartered ( ACA ) and Cost Accountant ( ICWA ) with 27 + years of global experience in Finance & Accounting, Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, IT/ERP solutions and implementation, Consulting, PMO, Transition & Service Delivery. His experience across geographies includes countries such as India , Middle East , Singapore, Hong Kong, USA , UK , ANZ and travelled globally on various consulting engagements. His Industry experience span across Manufacturing , IT / ITES , Outsourcing , Retail, Financial services and hospitality.
Ashok’s Major engagements during his professional career are establishing 4 Finance Shared Services Centers ( SSC – Captive / 3rd Party) for various global companies in India for US / UK based Fortune 100 companies with a capacity ranging from 300 – 2,000 employees and Offered innovative industry solutions like RPA / AI / Cloud based , SaaS , PaaS etc..,
Held Senior Corporate Positions in large MNC & Board member in managing large US MNCs & Controllership functions
Balasubramanian V – DIRECTOR
Balasubramanian (Bala) is a Chartered and a Cost Accountant with 27 years of experience spans across Banking, NBFC, Stock Broking , Insurance, Investment Banking and Outsourcing Industry. He was involved in the setting up of certain major BPO companies in India.
Held senior position of a leading Bank in the Middle East and closely associated with Mckinsey & Co. in setting up strategies for the group. He was part of Basel Implementation Group set up by Central Bank of Oman. He has hands on experience in the implementation of Performance Management, Balance sheet Management, Capital Management, IFRS and Strategies.
His expertise in advisory services includes ALM, FATCA compliance, Credit Portfolio Risk review , IFRS compliance , LOB performance metrics , Risk based remuneration , ICAAP , Cost Optimization and revenue enhancement , Bancassurance etc
He serves as Director in a leading outsourcing company and also a partner in a capital advisory firm Anthem Capital Advisory Services LLP. Anthem is a boutique investment banking unit which specializes in equity fund raising for niche sectors.
P.S. Sriram – DIRECTOR
A finance professional with academic qualifications of ACA, ICWA, CIMA(London) and CISA(USA). He has 30+ years of experience out of which 20+ years are in senior roles in finance and operations. He has worked with reputed employers in Statutory & Internal Audit, Management consultancy, Automotive and retail businesses.
He has extensive experience in financial management, corporate banking and treasury operations, financial accounting and consolidation, statutory and internal audit, financial & management consultancy and managing operations of retail businesses.
He has spearheaded many projects in the areas of financial feasibility studies and business valuations, IFRS, VAT, accounting software implementation, setting up of green field operations in auto dealerships, wellness service retail chains, etc .
He is also closely associated with companies operating in automotive dealerships, Franchisee operations in beauty & wellness, training academy, food and beverages as investor / director.
